A day in the life

By Shelling

Starting summer

Wonderful day today, if somewhat windy. I went to Kalmar to get some reflection material for the poles I put up by the main road signalling where  the small, hardly visible gravel road is, leading to my house. On my way back over the bridge, I went to the harbour to get an ice cream by the beach. Tourist season has started a little and there was quite a lot of families bathing in the sun and water. The kids said it was warm in the water but their screams indicated something else. I'll wait quite a while before I go in the water. I love swimming and playing in the water but I'd like it at least over 20 degrees before that happens.

In the evening I went to the Folk highschool again for another show. Not a lecture this time, the Flamenco dance course had their last day and wanted to show off their skills after a weeks course. No pictures of their dance because some of them didn't want to be on foto. But I took one of the teachers to compensate, they did some kind of improvised performance over music from "Carmen" by Bizet. Highly entertaining and skilful. When the summer courses stop tomorrow, the real  tourist season sets in, I guess there will be crowds rolling over the bridge the whole weekend.
