Stockholm Day 2
Another peaceful sleep in the hotel and a good breakfast. Lots of choice, so much! They even had Miso soup and also seaweed!
I liked how you could have carrots, brocolli and cauliflower with your scrambled egg and bacon! Well, there is no such thing as breakfast food is there.
We walked , quite a distance but passing some lovely area (and also a coffee stop), to the City Hall. The inside of the building was magnificent! We went with the English Guide who was full of information of the building. The ceremony y of the Nobel Peace prize is held here. And what a setting it is. Went through umpteen rooms and halls, each one more beautiful than the last. And the staircase….
It was well worth it. And also I had a few questions which were answered.
We had our picnic sitting in the beautiful grounds of the City Hall , the view across the water was stunning.
Decided we would take a boat trip down the archipelago. Unfortunately I fell on board in the passageway! I’m so clumsy, I do t know how I managed to avoid my head being cracked but thankfully I did. My left leg and hip was sore, the leg having a long bruise over a foot long and also my ankle and top of arch.
We hobbled up the road to the hotel and I got bags of ice to put on it.
Took a dissolvable co codomol and conked out about 9 o’clock!
It was a good day though apart from that…
