Damp cockchafer

Thank you for all your birthday wishes yesterday. Now the wrong side of 3x20+10. That year went quick. I had a wonderful day despite not being able to swim in the sea.

We had a shower early this morning which was just ending as I went out to run off yesterday’s indulgences. A good run going over ground I haven’t been to for a good few years.

After breakfast we completed more of those property forms - this time for Doreen’s house. Finished them off after lunch and took them around to the solicitors.

In between times a long time friend from before I went to school called in for an hour while his wife was shopping. He now lives in Bulgaria so opportunities to catch up are limited to the occasional times they come over to the UK.

Always good to catch up, especially as the connections with his family go back to the 1930s - his mum and my mum were friends when little girls living in the same road in Wellington - that would be 95 years ago.
