Returning Home

..with my new pillow or toss cushion...whatever - something to decorate my bed or sofa!

On my trip to town from the cottage last Friday, I visited the studio of a local artist and could not resist her painted cushions. She really captures the stunning beauty and spirit of Georgian Bay - land of windblown pines, sparkling waters, and the rugged rocky landscape of the Canadian Shield. I would love to have one of her a huge paintings, but for now, a pillow will do!

It was a really hot day again, so when I got home, I unpacked the car, took a quick look around my parched lawn and garden, noted that Shawn had done some pruning, put away the perishable foods I had brought home and then had a nap!

I was awakened later by Shawn who arrived bearing several hydrangea plants that he will plant here on the weekend. Seems his crew may not be able to join him, but I have faith that Shawn will get the job done.

I took the opportunity of being awake to snap a few pix of the bits of colour perking up my rather barren garden, (extra) with hopes of it being much more lush after Shawn has done his plantings! I then retired inside to continue my nap!

Here's to less heat and more energy tomorrow....
