The M62 is the highest motorway in the UK, reaching 1,220 feet near to the boundary between Lancashire and Yorkshire close to the Pennine Way footbridge.

4 hour drive up North today, in foul conditions, for an annual dinner of a ministry I am Trustee of. Great people changing lives especially of many prisoners.

I think 80% of UK motorways are not used because everyone drives in the outside lane. Look at this lot and all the empty road!! If you're not overtaking, drive in the left lane for goodness sake!
