When Tooli was home briefly for the Hen Do. She asked if either of us could play Chess 

I don't but her dad does .... She said that was summer holiday project.Dad was to teach her chess.   

Boy did play. I think he even maybe went to Chess club.  We had a lovely glass board and he did have an electronic version too but we couldn't find it.    

Himself found the pieces. And a couple of days ago set about making a board 

Is there anything this man can't do?


tooli's need to learn chess and also how to do a rubix cube came from being questioned by her colleagues as to how she could possibly be a maths teacher but not solve a rubix or play chess.   

She left with an unsolved so far rubix

We await her return to see if she solved it her dad's way.... Peeling the colours of and sticking them back on
