Poppies

Another slow morning of chores and pottering. We had some very torrential rain over lunchtime, which delayed our plans to go out for a walk. I therefore decided to cook a curry base for tea.

Once the rain had stopped and it had brightened up, we drove to Bolton, and then walked to Gifford.  We had to wait until a shower passed over before we set off, but it soon brightened up again. It was quite damp underfoot, but not too bad. We did have to shelter under trees when another shower came along.  We had ice creams in Gifford,  then walked back mostly by the same route.  The weather improved all the way. Once home I thought I would sit in the garden for a wee while, but it was too breezy for me.

TT called his mum before we had tea. It was a nice evening, so I popped out for a short walk. Tonight I spotted a badger again, and a deer.

I didn’t take many photos today, so more poppies in a field at Bolton.
