Bamburgh Castle
A windy cloudy day and we decided to visit Bamburgh Castle. We stopped on the south side first admiring the views from the dunes and also from the beach before heading to the north side. This image show the castle from the large painted cube blocks on the beach.
We then drove towards the rather delightful Stag Rock lighthouse with its face like features and a goat painted on the walls. There's lots of potential for compositions in this location. We watched as a father taught his sone how to jump off the further away rocks here into the sea. It looked like they were having lots of fun.
Afterwards we drove over the causeway to Lindisfarne. Such a beautiful location with its castle, old boats an abbey and village. It was late afternoon when we could cross due to the tide so there is still lots more to explore. We ate in a local pub which served very good food.
A very full on day but enjoyable.
