Diary of an Edinburgher

BIG ARCH and WEE ARCH!

Met up with John and Amanda in the Links. Archie ran a really long way to meet them! And back to me, then back to them. Nope, he hasn't got sore joints yet...

Hazel popped over mid morning for a de-brief on her cruise (which was marvellous). We were able to sit out in the garden. It was warmish!

We then decided, suddenly, to pop down to one of my favourite shops, as I'd seen a linen jacket in a nice colour, on sale. But to order online is not a good idea if you're not sure of sizings. So we went down to try one on, and then order in the shop. Also, the shop never has the full colour range.

Popped down and back in an hour. When we came back JR made a cake for tomorrow, because Abi and her mum are coming for afternoon tea.

I watched a bit of Eastbourne tennis. John and Amanda and Archie came back about 4pm, having had a lovely long walk and a toasted cheese sandwich at the cafe. It's a brilliant walk for Archie too, with the river on hand for drinks and swims.

I had my first 'kill' with my new fly swat. Mind you, it took three goes, and even then the bloomin' thing was only stunned. But inside the end of the handle is a tricky pair of tweezers to lift the half dead fly up and chuck it out the door. How good is that!
