Now, as I see it......

Riding the Railbus

I'm not sure how much longer the railbus is visiting the railway but I know it will have gone by early July.  I wanted a ride on it and if it happens to leave next week I knew today would be my only chance with other things I have on, so we decided to have a trip over to Sheringham and back.

We had an hour or so to kill in Sheringham so thought we'd have a walk along the sea front.  Once we were down there we realised the whole area was thronged with tiny little flies.  We walked along and climbed back up to the town as quickly as we could but in just that short time we were covered in them - all down my shirt and the front of my trousers, and for W all over her clothes and covering her hair.  I must say I don't really ever remember experiencing anything similar and it was rather unpleasant.

We went for a coffee and a scone in town before heading back up to the station to get the railbus home, and I took this shot as we arrived back in Holt station.  I enjoyed the journey but it wouldn't suit anyone prone to seasickness; with only four wheels rather than the normal coaches which have a four wheel 'bogie' at each end, it was a rocky ride!  I've added an extra of it in Sheringham station before we boarded.
