TINY TUESDAY - I DON'T BELIEVE IT!
We were “loaned” this hibiscus for the next month whilst some friends are on holiday from Thursday, and despite the fact that we will be going to their house to water their plants, they insisted we bring it home. The hibiscus was in a tight bud, but I said that I would talk to it kindly and perhaps even sing to it! I told them as soon as it bloomed, I would send a photograph.
I duly brought it home and put it on our kitchen windowsill - where I spoke a few kind words to it!! Well, if the King can speak to his plants, then I’m sure it’s OK for me to speak to this lovely plant.
Mr. HCB told me as soon as I got up that I needed to look at the hibiscus because I would be surprised. I rushed downstairs, and found this beautiful flower - well, what a delight to see this and I did utter the words “I don’t believe it”! I took a photograph and sent it to our friends, although as I said, they aren’t going away until Thursday.
Before we left them last night, I did tell them that once it bloomed, I would be blipping it, and they both smiled and said they would look forward to seeing the shot. I think they know, even though they are new friends, that I am a little “nutty”! Little did they know that they would get a photograph before they went away.
I think these anthers and stigmas are small enough to qualify for Tiny Tuesday - amazingly, I am on theme because there is no theme!
Mr. HCB is, no doubt, enjoying another day at cricket - but has assured me he will be home in time for us to go to Home Group tonight, so comments may be sparse!
Nothing much to be said about my heart situation - suffice to say I am “on the job” of trying to sort out a private consultation, which is not an easy task. M xx
