An enjoyable day, mostly gardening away, despite it being blustery. I’ve never grown raspberries or strawberries before so it’s been a joy to tend to them and see them develop. The courgettes however.. that’s a different matter. Call me a botanist, but I didn’t realise that they’re monoecious, having separate male and female flowers. And worse, it seems the male and female flowers open at different times to enable a bit of the old cross-fertilisation to go on. But if you’ve only a couple of plants, there’s not much of that – result – no blooming courgettes, just plenty blooming flowers which eventually drop off.
Anyway, just before shut-eye, the messiah appeared to me, as if in a dream on my iPhone screen. And verily he spoke unto the nations: “God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!”
