More paint pouring

We planned a second attempt at paint pouring for today, while it was warm and sunny outside and the carer who instigated it was working with J. It went very well: I was delighted that she and J's nurse successfully supported J hand over hand with the paint mixing and pouring and with the moving and tilting of the canvas to encourage the paint to spread and cover it and encourage the patterns to develop. For the most part, I just took photos and pottered in the garden. Some lessons were learned from the previous attempts, which had turned out rather murkier and less defined than hoped; this time, J chose lighter and brighter colours and decided to try some slightly different pouring techniques, to good effect I think though the intensely pigmented blue still dominated the second canvas. Fun was had by all, and I think we will be buying more canvases before long. J's nurse, who I don't think normally does things like this, also intends to try some larger ones with her son. J enjoyed both the process and the results, and it's the first time her new nursing and care team have supported her with a hands on activity without me needing to orchestrate it, which I see as a very positive step forward.
