There are a few of these 'Fairy Castles' around this part of the Portuguese coast. I'm sure I've read about what and why at some point but really can't recall now. Anyway, this is one we have to walk past on the way into/out of town. It is very pretty and I have lots and lots of photos of it through the years we've come back here.

It was hot today, the first day there hasn't been most or haze of some description. Fine for me, being the cold blooded lizard that I am (with the wrinkles to prove it), but not so good for the Irish blood in Himself. He persevered, albeit somewhat grumpily, until it was time to change and go for a last supper night dinner. The plan was a mexican place we've seen a few times but they didn't really have a table (they tried to make space but both of us were being jostled too much, and weren't so invested in tacos it was going to make much difference) so we went back to the place we found last night instead. It may have been a repeat but the food*, and service (always important), we're both excellent so it was no hardship.

A final drink in a bar we always return to and then to bed for a wind down before the unnecessary hassle that is short haul flying tomorrow. My money is on an eight hour journey for a 2hr 45min flight.
