Day at LV’s Home

Cooked up a couple of sausages, bacon and mushrooms for breakfast, which, unfortunately LV as unable to share in as he was labouring away in the unit. Then 2 walks to Sainsbury’s to pick up shopping with the 2 sisters. 2 because I thought I had bought the wrong toothpaste but on returning, it turned out to be the right toothpaste - perhaps aging is beginning to take its toll.

The rest of the day was taken up with reading the paper, reading a book I’m studying for my thesis “The Rise and Fall of Adam and Eve” by Stephen Greengrass. Then falling asleep in the middle of reading. Dinner of chicken Thai curry courtesy of Jeanette was tasty and followed by some cheese, chocolate and after dinner alcohol. Some good laughs and concerns with the world that we know descending into hell in a hand basket but still trusting that “All is not lost.” Cool and occasionally rainy is very pleasant after many hot sunny days.

Don’t ask me what the silver ball is, but it is apparently a present for Neil!
