SUNSHINE IN A FLOWER
Today we celebrated Dad’s birthday with my 104 year old mother, and our son and daughter-in-law who came up from Ohio with their two dogs. This afternoon we all went for a short stroll (including Grandma with her walker plus the dogs!), to enjoy some fresh air and check out the neighbor’s flowers, etc. My daughter-in-law has a great eye for a good blip. She found several bees busy on some sedum, and also pointed out this exceptional daylily. I couldn’t resist it for today’s blip because of the rich color. It might be an Aztec Gold Daylily – that’s the closest I could find. They look like they’re lit from within when the sun is on them, but even though it was a beautiful day, lots of big, white, fluffy clouds blocked out the sun most of the time we were out walking. It was a wonderful day, but it was over with too quickly.
