Time For A Lolly
Monday. The start of another week. We overslept this morning, which was quite a feat on my side as it involved four alarms going off and my turning them off in my sleep. Thankfully, we managed to get out the door on time.
Little Man was very happy about going to nursery and didn't have any issues with me leaving. I came home and quickly tidied up a bit before a friend came round. We had a lovely chat.
Before I went to get Little Man from nursery, I got dinner on in my beloved slow cooker, and I also made some sandwiches for my boy. We then biked to Reeuwijk, for the second part of his eye test. We had to book today's appointment last week, as Little Man decided to stop cooperating after they'd checked his right eye. We arrived to discover I'd got the date wrong (the appointment was actually for tomorrow), but the doctor said she'd be able to do it as it wasn't going to take long (about five minutes or so). Little Man did splendidly and has good eye sight.
We stopped at the park before coming home. It was hard going in both directions, mainly on the way there due to the wind. It was gusting away at about 36 kilometres (22.4 miles) per hour, so was quite the work out as I don't own an electric bicycle.
When we got home, we had an ice cream and then, on Little Man's request, we walked to the supermarket in Waarder and back again. I'd been able to collect enough stickers to get a big discount on a beach towel, so that came home with us.
We've had dinner and Little Man is in bed. He's pretty tired, so I think he'll fall asleep quite quickly.
Two weeks to go, before we leave for England and the Isle of Man. Follow our travels on PolarSteps.
