Curves
This is my first attempt to join in with a challenge, here on Blipfoto.
So here it is, for #MonoMonday #MM596, my black and white along the theme of "curves."
These old stoppers at Platform One of Lancaster Train Station get very little usage these days. I don't think I've ever seen a train actually use them to stop, but they do add interest to the place.
It's a Victorian station, so there's loads of little bits here and there that whisper tales of days long gone, despite all the modern trains, cafés, and even a pub, that are the life of the station today.
And of course, the trains that use Platform one are pretty ancient too. Though, not quite Victorian. It's the Morecambe line, and until recently there were still parts of it that weren't electrified.
Maybe it's because I am getting on, but I do love finding the old amongst the modern.
