Pleach

It has been a very busy day with grandson A and his friend calling in for lunch on their way with three others to camp in the Cairngorms after finishing their A levels.  Also his twin sister and their mother have come to stay for a short visit.  Now that three of the children are setting off on the next stages of life it will probably be a long time before all six of the family come to stay again and a long time until we see all of them together again.
I tried to find a suitable blip for my sun related mini series but had little opportunity so this is a combination of two sundials.  The coloured one is decorative and reasonably accurate but a close look at the black and white one shows that it is not really a sundial.  It would be impossible for the gnomon to cast a shadow on the number VI and the spacing is wrong and more importantly it is on an east facing wall. It seems a strange decoration on the house wall.

Number 47 of my series on sundials
