Dinner à Deux

A different Sunday for us:
- no grapefruit; doesn't seem to be any available anywhere; had figs and oranges from the garden instead
- no church; we're going on Tuesday in Elvas, for St John the Baptist’s feast day
- no Adega; Sergio has left and too hot anyway
- no Sem Fim; everyone busy elsewhere

But a candlelit dinner for two. I chucked some frozen lamb ribs (from the lamb raised on our Land) in the slow cooker this morning, with potatoes, carrots, onion, garlic, branches of rosemary and bay leaves, tin of tomatoes and a carton of red wine. No defrosting, no marinating, no browning the meat. It was delicious.
