yellowing
Working with the weather today - outside inbetween the showers. This beautiful field of buttercups was seen on my walk. I also spotted a very young deer in a field, without a mother in sight. It was behaving very oddly, turning round and round and not paying much attention to my presence. When I got home, I messaged a friend who knows about deer, and he went down to take a look. He said that after a while, it had nibbled some grass and then settled down, so he would keep an eye on it and hope it survived.
D has started mowing the long grass today with his scythe. So now I have piles of wet grass as well as pile of logs to move. Who needs the gym??
It's Sarah's birthday today. I always associate her with this lovely time of the year, the scent of orange blossom and the bright fields.
