Swathes of wild flowers
Some time ago, in fact a long time ago, I mentioned about the large swathes of wild flowers that are left, uncut, around the King George V playing fields. Great benefits to the bees, insects and other forms of small wildlife.
It's now mid-summer, or at least we've just had the Summer Solstice, so they aren't at their best now but Ziggy still like to romp in the undergrowth.
He's just come out of it, in the photograph.
Oh, just thought, did I mention that I'd sent away his DNA? I was convinced, after doing a lot of research on the internet, that he was a German Spitz. Well, the DNA results came back, with lots of information about relatives and where they are located, possible health issues, and more.
It also said he is 100% Pomeranian which really surprised me. Even the image of the dog used to demonstrate the ancestry, down to Great Grandparents, doesn't look anything like Ziggy but I guess DNA can't lie, or can it!
Just in case you are curious I used Wisdom Panel for the DNA test.
