Chaotic Art

with a bunch of tinys.

Gathering leaves, sticks, weeds, grass etc from the garden …. Painting colour onto these and then slapping them onto a large canvas.

Art is very liberating for children especially when there are no limits to what they can do. Obviously this is done outdoors with no time pressure and no guidelines.

These children do not use screens at home, are outdoors most of the time; and they have no awareness of clothing labels or of so called ‘current trends’ (whatever the heck that is).

This is how I raised my children encouraging them to question everything and never to go with the flow. (but they question every damn thing and never go with the flow now)

It’s been full on all day and they have just gone back to Mayo. I’m exhausted and about to watch ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ for about the 10th time. For no other reason than that I love that film
