A proper summer’s evening

Warm, sunny mellow.

My neighbours are having a big birthday party out in their garden. A terrific DJ and lots of singing - it’s great. Sounds of tableware and cutlery and delicious smells of food are abounding. I’m delighted they are having the best of weather.

My blip is once again my lovely roses. On one stem, there is a cluster of them … some just fresh and new, some established and some getting past their best. A community of roses - all beautiful. The scent is so sweet. I love roses. These are very thorny, mind you.

I watched this, this morning on Sky Documentaries. I would highly recommend.
