A Rose is a Rose is a Memory and another Memory

It started innocently enough.

I was just taking pictures of the roses I had gotten for the birthday boy this weekend.

Soon I was falling down the rabbit hole of memories . . .



I have loved yellow roses since I saw the movie, "Funny Lady" with Barbra Streisand, Omar Shariff and James Caan.

Loved the soundtrack.

So I looked it up on online.

Went to Amazon, iTunes and You Tube.



I was farther "down the rabbit hole" by now.

I found one of my favorite songs, How Lucky Can You Get.
My best friend immortalized that phrase, that we used all the time, spelled out with wooden letters on a wooden plaque with a yellow rose that I still have.

Which led to an even more favorite song, Great Day.

I loved Barbra Streisand and the characters she played and her eyes, and those beautiful, long fingernails.

Memories of friends, and music and movies.

I had no idea where today's blip was going to take me . . .
