A Prickly Subject

Almost an Emergency Blip but it's a worthy subject for a plantsman's journal and it was a conscious, if late in the day, choice!   Eryngium bourgatii, wild in the Pyrenees where the recently blipped iris also grows.   This is another good garden plant, enjoying the warm, dry climate in Norfolk but seems equally at home here, even if rather overshadowed by the huge Dierama adjacent.

A quiet Saturday at home apart from dog walks and a last blipmeet with Julie before she heads home tomorrow.   We had an ice-cream on the seafront after she had finished her day on the railway.   She's done more turns than I have this year even though I live here while she doesn't!
