Taking a Bow

The vase with attitude is finished.  I really like it.  Caught in a shaft of sunlight on the living room floor, I am reminded of the spotlight moment at the end of a show.

Another mostly too hot - and sticky - day.  I was up early and got a few little jobs done in the garden before the sun broke though and the temperature shot up.   We had some cloudy and cooler spells this morning before the relentless heat filled the afternoon.  I went to pottery while it was a bit cooler and sorted some neglected earthenware dipping glazes, test 'tiles' are now waiting to be fired so we can see if they are fit for purpose.

A quiet afternoon at home, I watched a bit of Royal Ascot, a nod to my previous working life and sorted a few photos on my laptop, including this one.   Food, a walk for Meg, earlyish night.  Cooler here tomorrow hopefully.
