Bus Challenge No 254
Wellies on parade - Newbridge Junior School, Bath
Well, I didn't set out on a Bus Challenge today, but having got off the bus at the wrong bus stop (due to being half asleep) I discovered something new (the aim of my BCs), a shortcut to the RUH, a footpath that took me past this school playground where the wellies were on parade, ready for a wet day.
Despite a muggy night of 20 degrees, managed to sleep just over 7 hours, hooray! Then after spending most of the morning clearing up the house after the dramas of yesterday (have left scrubbing the bedroom carpet until a cooler day) went into Bath to spend a couple of hours with Dad. He was a lot brighter today thank goodness, but will be there for a few more days. While there I spoke with the doctor about various things, including the phone conversation I'd had with one of the nurses that morning. The doc had prescribed meds for one of the other patients in the ward, and the nurse had injected Dad with it by mistake!!! Thankfully it was only a water retention drug, but what if it had been something more serious?!! Words fail me...
Leaving the hospital, the wind had picked up, and at 28 degrees it felt like walking into a hairdryer, which hopefully will help dry the washing Ive just put on the line, brought home with me from the hospital, even though it's now gone 8pm. Now I'm going to sit down in the garden and enjoy the last balmy evening before the weather breaks, and devour a family size tub of ice cream!
Total bus journey time = 28mins
Thank you for all your kind supportive words yesterday. Will catch up with blip tomorrow, after some more sleep, hopefully...
