Bus Challenge No 215

Lyncombe Vale, Bath

A bus into Bath this morning, then a short hop on a second bus up the hill to the south of the city centre where I joined a group from Bath Carers Centre for the monthly Wellbeing Walk: a three mile circular walk around Lyncombe Vale, a very special part of Bath, where the city meets the countrysideWalking up and down hills, through green fields and wooded areas, it was hard to remember that we were actually in Bath, though there was a brief reminder when we cut through Alexandra Park, with stunning views of the city centre.

The walk ended at a nearby garden centre where we stopped for much needed refreshments, after which I popped into a friend’s shop for a quick catch up, but we lost track of time and I missed my intended bus home and had to get E from next door to welcome Dad home from daycare. Sunny day of 19 degrees, though felt warmer when slogging uphill in the sun!

In extras, the view from Alexandra Park (which is probably a better pic), and just one of the many hills we encountered, so steep they had to put in a handrail along the pavement!

Bus journey time = 1hr 16mins
Waiting between buses time = 5mins
Total bus journey time = 1hr 21mins

Thank you very much for all your kind stars and hearts for yesterday’s Yew Tree blip.
