'Wooding'

Is the gentle art of going out into the wilderness (generally farmers land) and identifying and laying claim to fallen wood through negotiations with the farmer - who is generally very amenable as they just want rid of it as it clutters the place up. What happens is negotiations take place - usually involving beer - then the 'Wooder' prepares the wood (chops/saws and stacks it on one side) then later returns to take it home ie;- with a trailor, a large rucksack, a horse or simply a quad bike. This is normally done in an honorable and honest way. But there's trouble at' Mill. Mr P (shall we call him) has had a conversation with said farmer and has lovingly and painstakingly prepared the wood in question the traditional way with a Cross Saw - little noise. Mr P puts the wood to one side and it is obvious that it has been worked on and belongs to someone else. Meanwhile Mr R (The Constant Gardener) helps himself to Mr P's lovingly prepared woodpile and takes it home. Mr P knows this as he recognises the wood and the way it is cut. This has happened before to other parties - one minute woodpile next minute gone. Mr R (the Constant Gardener) admits that he 'has more wood than anyone could possibly need' (could this have medical connotations?) The question is - Does Mr P ;-

a) Steal the wood back perhaps under cover of darkness.?

b) Confront Mr R (the Constant Gardener) possibly resulting in strained relationships or the attendance of the police.

c) Totally ignore the situation but be prepared next time.
or
d) Threaten him with a cross saw - definitely resulting in the attendance of the police force. (wouldn't be the first time that Staffield has been 'staked out')

What would you do ??????????
