Standing still
It will be the summer solstice in the early hours of tomorrow morning so tonight I am bivvying out on top of a hill from where I can see the sunset (that was at 21.58) in the north east. From tomorrow, sunset will move towards the east until it is in the north west at the winter solstice…and of course the days will get shorter.
It’s been a lovely day - I was up early to mow the grass before it got too hot, and in the afternoon, I read in the shade and walked around the garden barefoot. Summer pleasures!
Then we had a Fire Friday in the woods.
There’s a lovely breeze up here which is keeping the midgies at bay. Still light at a quarter past ten :-)
Extra is Jess seeing me off up the hill.
