Foot soak in cold bubbly water.
The Feast Day of Blessed Osanna of Mantua.
A 15th century Dominican.
She is remembered for her deep faith and dedication to serving God and serving the needy.
She is a Patron Saint of those suffering alcoholism.
Today is World Refugee Day. Prayers for all who are fleeing for their lives.
Today started really warm at 24c. It gradually increased in warmth.
We went to Stonehill Garden Centre in the morning, to choose a Cherry tree for our expanding mini orchard in the back garden. We decided on a black cherry called Sunburst. They had taller cherry trees but could not deliver until Thursday and it cost an extra £10. The one we bought cost £25, looks healthy and we have planted it in a huge grey planter that the Discovery Apple tree lived in, before we planted it in the lawn. It was hard work but worthwhile.
I had a lovely tea which included cucumber, orange pepper, boiled potatoes and garden fresh mint and mayonnaise, raisins and bread and butter and small cubes of crystallised ginger. I made a mug of mint and lemon balm tea and chilled it in the fridge.
The blip shows my feet in a basin of cold water with lavender essential oil and it is my way to try and stay cool and calm. The temperature reached 30.6c. It felt challenging. I am OK up to 22c but beyond that temperature, I am uncomfortable and need to be less active until it goes cool again.. We never go abroad for holidays in hot countries, as it does not appeal to me or Paul.
It is forecast to rain this evening but I hope and pray it doesn't thunder. The local pubs and clubs are playing cricket.
Enjoy a lovely evening and thank you for visiting my site today blip friends.
