Giving It What For

The sandhill crane pair seemed not too happy today. 

It began to rain around 1am and continued all day. All told we accumulated nearly 2", which is a lot in one go for this area. Consequently, they looked bedraggled and fed up.

Their calls rang out for some time and unusually were not answered by other pairs in the neighbourhood. Here is a link to some examples, number 5 in the list sounds like a pair.
