Marmalade

The marmalade hoverfly was taken just before breakfast this morning - you will need to look in large if you want to see the eye facets as the standard Blip resolution doesn't really do them justice.. 

Cathy was keen to go to Cribbs Causeway - our nearest shopping mall, to get some bits and pieces.  I offered to drive, as I wanted to pick up some more coffee beans from Wogan's coffee in Bristol.  I would normally use the motorbike to go into Bristol as it largely avoids the traffic and parking issues.  But we went in by car as Cathy was with me, which at least had the benefit of air conditioning, though I did miss the ride.   Cribbs was pretty empty and blissfully cool, which made the shopping a more pleasant experience than it would otherwise have been. 

We're currently glued to our phones with fingers and toes crossed, as our expectant daughter is a week overdue now.  If you think that sounds uncomfortable for us, spare a thought for poor Jess in the current heat.
