Doing the Moves
It was the Summer Dance Event at Euan's School this morning so here he is showing us one of the moves as we set off first thing.
It was a great event. The whole school was involved and there were lots of families watching. The children performed their dances in year groups in the playground with us all standing around the perimeter. Euan's Reception class was in the uniform of black t-shirt and jeans with caps and gold bling chains with attitude! The staff also performed with varying degrees of skill and there was maypole dancing too.
Afterwards we walked down into.a very hot Oxford and had combined second breakfast and lunch at Gail's. The chap sitting at the next table was wearing a Suma polo top and we fell into conversation with him as our J worked there for many years and still received deliveries from them up in Scotland. He knew her well and sent his best wishes. He also lives in Micklethwaite which is a village across the valley from us, small world.
We didn't stay long in the city because it was rammed with tour groups and students coming out of their last exams, and it was much too hot, so it was back on the bus and a quiet afternoon until it was time to collect Euan and start dinner. We've only just come in from sitting out in the garden till 10.30.
