Elk viewing

Sue's brother Mark drove us in his truck to a field where the girls could see a herd of elk, including two very recently-born calves. We were very quiet, but the elk were nervous about the vehicle, so they carefully slipped into the dense forest.

Mark maintains a "green road" on his property, where we could explore the deep forest.

Thanks for the kind comments. I've come to a restaurant to get a little wifi so the girls can do their Duolingo and I can post a blip, but we have none at the beach house, so I can't respond.
