The Rough with the Smooth

Into Manchester by train this morning, for a trustee training day at the Friends Meeting House. There were three charitable trusts represented. It was very useful, and fortunately not too hot inside.

Stepping outside it was 29°c, which is extraordinary. I headed to an outdoor shop looking for some waterproof over-trousers for a forthcoming trip (a little surreal on a day like today). I didn’t know my size, the young lady explained that if the folded trouser waist can fit around your neck it will fit your waist, the waist circumference always being twice the neck circumference. And she was right.
