Dahlia
We woke up early. The forecast called for temps in the 90°s F so I decided to get up and get my chores finished. I ate breakfast on the front porch and got my blip from my front garden pots. The sprinkler covered these dahlias with water droplets. I liked the look. There was a nice breeze so we decided being outside was manageable. Hubby helped me pick a very large basket of blueberries. There are still ripening berries hanging on the bushes. We cleaned up and went to town. Forgetting that today is a federal holiday in the U.S., we went to the base for meds. Left there empty-handed. My cross rails for my van roof rack arrived at the dealers; hubby picked them up and installed them. We shopped for a few groceries and headed home. Hubby cut the grass. I protected some of the tomato plants growing outside the raised bed garden from deer and put stakes around the new peonies. Hubby has a Knights’ meeting tonight that includes a meal. I declined the invitation but made him cookies to take for dessert. They will be walking in a procession around the town and my foot is just not ready for that. Even with the cane. I will rest it in the brace after I finish a load of laundry. Hope the thunderstorms predicted tonight do not materialize. Wishing you clear skies. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by.
