Lesser Emperors

Lesser Emperors enjoying/ovipositing  this afternoon in the heat which was staggering.

I had the 'do it at your own risk' scenario this morning, about the Brazil trip, at the hospital but after hearing that I wouldn't do any damage it just might be a tad painful I was pretty chuffed frankly. It will take about 3 months to heal and I've got an open appointment.

Had my hair cut which involved very little walking at all then headed to Ripple Lake for my first venture out recently which again involved very little walking, just standing on the edge shooting and it being so  staggeringly hot was not there long either.

Pleased that a couple of mating Lesser Emperor dragonflies flew past and stopped for just a few seconds. Time has been that I've walked miles round the lake, spent hours on recces and never seen any so I was surprised and thrilled to see these two.  Cropped to within an inch of it's life.
