Reflection on Coppice Pond

A glorious morning for our early walk which now seems to be set at 7.45 am instead of 7.15 am. Which is great but it is noticeably  busier. More traffic, kids out heading for school buses etc and this morning no spaces in the parking lay-bys after Wilsden Walker had parked up. Most of us walk from the village so it’s not an issue but a couple come from further afield. These parking spaces are popular as you don’t have to pay as you do further into the estate but we thought this morning it was possibly due the heat and people wanting to get out to do their dog walking early whilst it was relatively cool.
A nice walk, though only 4 of us today and when we got to the pond the cry went up that there were only 4 cygnets! But no mum number two and the fifth cygnet was just slightly hidden behind a tree. Phew!
I stopped to feed them and before catching up with the others walking around the pond I spotted the heron in the middle. Did you spot it? I considered, for a moment, zooming in to get a close up but I knew it wouldn’t be good and I liked the sunny morning reflections on the water so I’ve stuck with the full shot.

Back in the village there was a bus waiting at the stop for Bradford outside the Congregational Church. It was in Bradford ‘25 colours, the first I’ve seen except on blip, so I took a quick snap of it even though it was in the shade. Extra

A chilled day just a visit to Bingley garden centre ( Stephen Smith's) to sort out my points as I’d had an email to say some were about to expire. Soon resolved,  I spent them on coffees for both of us.
