Smoke On!

Eastbourne Air show has been on this weekend, and as the sun was shining today we decided to go. It's a free air show on the beach, and it was very busy! We arrived about an hour before it started so had a wander round the stalls, and found a French stall selling Tartiflette so we bought some for lunch, and then found a spot on the beach to eat it and watch the planes.

The display was brilliant, but it was difficult to get good photos as we were facing into the sun, and the planes were coming from that direction, so I didn't bother taking too many photos until it was time for the Red Arrows. I took quite a lot and then struggled with my choice, but decided on this one even though it's not the best quality shot. It was taken as they arrived, and I like the clouds and the sun directly behind them. Red One had just announced 'Smoke On' so they were displaying the Red, White and Blue smoke. My second choice which is actually a much clearer shot, and can be seen here.

It's been a great day, but now it's time to prepare for tomorrow, Alan starts his new job and I start my membership at the gym - wish us luck!
