Holy Island

With the car packed with camping gear, beer and weans we head down the A1 towards Northumberland. As we weren't in too much of a hurry we took a detour off to see Lindisfarne. The boys had a great time , there was a castle, rocks to climb, an ice cream van that did outrageous portions and the decomposing carcass of a seal pup. All the wee boy boxes ticked there.

As we were heading back from the castle I saw some boat like huts and realised this was the venue for the great Take A View controversy from last year when the postcarders went medieval on some blokes arse for flouting the rules with a wee bit of post pro and slating him for "plagiarism". I could see the path down to where he took the shot from and you could almost see the tripod holes; I very much doubt there is an original shot to be had there (see above) but you have to love competitive photography and the power of the internet for leaving one photographer like the seal pup carcass….
