Spreading mulch today

The crew was split again today between 2 jobs. I had the crew with me spreading some mulch on one property, then we moved to another property, and older gentleman needed some help cleaning goutweed out of a raised bed so he could plant some tomatoes. If there are any goutweed roots left in it, they are at the very bottom. We dug and sifted thru the soil twice. Considering there is a lot of goutweed in the surrounding garden beds, I know that it will be back, no matter what gets done.
I did stop in at noon time to see how Albert and his crew were doing with the patio, and things were going well there.
After lunch I brought my crew back to my place and got them to weed the front garden, plus we planted some annuals. Several more planters are done too. Then I pulled the plants that are needed for tomorrow and organized the remaining ones. Now I have space for the plants I will be buying on Saturday.
Jean called me this evening to see if I had heard from Alan. I have not talked to him since the day he went to the hospital. She says that he has not been answering his phone, which likely means he is too weak to talk to anyone.
