Birdie At The 10th
Having driven back from a weekend in Scotland yesterday, Henri fitted in a round of golf this morning before driving down to Portsmouth to catch an overnight ferry to France this afternoon. He’s nothing if not dedicated!
My round (or 13 holes to be precise as I headed off early with it being a Sophie day) was notable for a very lucky birdie here at the 10th: I hooked my drive and somehow just avoided going into the trees, then totally mishit my second shot which flew about a yard off the ground for 100 yards all the way into the face of the bunker that guards the green, somehow bounced up and over the bunker and rolled onto the green about 6 feet from the flag, from where I holed the putt. Just occasionally, the golfing gods are on your side!
We enjoyed our Sophie time this evening.
