A bee feeding in a crop of purple clover

When walking down an old footpath between fields I realised that the crop growing in one of them was all clover. I presume it is part of a rotation to nourish the earth.

When I slowed to look at the clover I saw several bees feeding despite a stiff breeze. I would have liked to catch them in flight, so set a fast shutter speed, but it wasn't to be, what with the windy conditions and their flightiness. Another time ....
