A skylark singing before its descent

I managed to go to a common and was rewarded with a plethora of skylarks. It took a while to spot them in the air and then follow their flightpaths back to the ground.

This skylark came quite close to me and hovered reasonably close to the ground above me. What a delight to both hear and see it.
