New steps in King George V Park
Today I was pleased to see that the steps into/out of King George V park, which I use regularly, have been upgraded. I have watched their previous incarnation slowly fall into disrepair over the past couple of years. Now everyone can safely walk up and down them again.
With the exception of a trip to the supermarket (which we did yesterday) we reprised our usual Monday routine today. This morning I rode my exercise bike at home, then went to the gym while Mr hazelh exercised at home. This afternoon we popped to the library to return and pick up some books, then returned home via the charity shops. A purchase was made: a lovely handmade Inuit soapstone mouse for £15. Late afternoon Mr hazelh popped out for a run while I worked on online admin.
This evening we settled down to watch the next episode of Game of thrones from our selection of charity shop DVD purchases. This required the opening of the sealed pack of series 6 that Sallymair sourced for us. Bizarrely the first DVD, which is labelled Game of thrones, is actually a copy of Dr Zhivago!
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; swim (32 lengths); walking (~14k steps).
