Fairy Doors

Mark sent these pics, he had bought the girls some Fairy Doors to paint from Amazon, so they made me and Paula one, they put them in the trees of the wood they go to with the dog. He must have climbed up high to put it in the tree,

Today was really warm and unfortunately the ballcock went on the water tank. Water was running out of the overflow down the wall outside this morning, so we called at the local "we sell everything" shop Mmm Do you want a brass one or a plastic one, err not sure, is the outlet at the side or the end, err not sure, better go have a look.
 So home and out came the stepladder. Getting into our loft is a feat in itself, as the entrance is half over the stairs and very dodgy. Which is why we never could have a proper loft ladder fitted,
 Anyhow up goes Paula and found what was required, so after lunch we went and got the brass one with the outlet at the end. Up she goes again and fixes it, but as I tell her 83 year old people should not be climbing up into lofts but  we have always done things ourselves it's the way we were brought up, so I suppose thats why we still do and forget how old we are

Misty came upstairs to inspect and you should have seen her eyes as she stared up at the hole into the loft, they were as big as green saucers, I could see her mind saying How do I get up there, I could explore a new place, I bet it's got spiders. I had to shoo her downstairs in case she tried the ladder.

So with all the tooing and froing  and holding ladders I never got the black currant pie made, better luck tomorrow. Although it is shopping day again.
