On the feed run

The hotel we're staying in has a certain Fawlty Towers feeling, in some respects (it's entertaining though, rather than uncomfortable). But one of its key attractions for me is the array of swallow and house martin nests under its extensive eaves.
During the summer I can get quite obsessive about trying to get photos of these beautiful birds in flight. Catching a parent bird flying up to or away from the nest is one way to get a shot, so that's my main for today.
Today's outing was to the Marble Arch caves a short drive away: a dramatic complex of chambers, with fabulous formations in the limestone, as well as delicate stalagmites. I tried capturing some of the rocks and their reflections in pools of water, as we passed. However, the only way to visit is with a guided group, and that offers little time to pause en route. Certainly there was no time to use a tripod, which would be the best approach. So today's extra is a record of all that, in one place where the rocks and reflections made a nice semi-abstract image.
