A damp/wet/wetter/ day

The Norwegians let me down! I have great faith in their weather app. It said that it would be dry this morning and rain later in the day.

It was raining this morning, so I delayed going out. I packed lunch and flask, then drove to pick up a signal for a while.

It was still wet, so I had an early lunch in the Community Café. (Highly recommended.)

Then I drove to Ishlivig to start the walk. It was only 6km (!) and along cliff tops, returning by the road.

The drizzle continued but I wasn’t bothered. (After all, I live in Northumberland!). There were lots of wildflowers. In addition to yesterday’s list I saw ling, heather, golden rod (it’s a tiny one) and Spring Squill.

I was very excited about the last one.

There was a blow hole on my route with appropriate danger signs. You will be pleased to know that it was too wet for me to lie on the ground to look over the edge! I could hear the sea but could not see it.

There was full fat 4G in Ishlivig, but I have had to drive up the hill to post this. If you have time, do check out yesterday’s back blip.

I am off to my accommodation- feels like home - for a hot shower!

More like 8km on a lot of boggy ground. Good walk though.
